Kids2 were keen to discover how viewers would react to their new Baby Einstein Ocean Explorers videos and accompanying product range. Ten children aged 1-2 years were recruited with their parents to take part in a Zoom interview with a researcher from Dubit. Participants were invited to watch an episode of Ocean Explorers as well as an episode of a competing show.
We applied our tried and tested engagement scale by observing participants and scoring them throughout based on physical and verbal reactions to the content.
This was used to gauge overall appeal and to pinpoint specific parts of the episodes which either engaged or disengaged viewers. Analysis of our observations and conversations with parents enabled Dubit to provide actionable insights and recommendations for future episodes.
